Piper KD is for sale.  She is a young, imported mare, that is currently in foal to our stallion, Hirtentanz.  Piper is due 5-23-12, and KD farm will keep the foal.  She will need to stay on the farm until November 2012, but we would be happy to breed her to either one of our stallions, or any stallion of your choice, starting in her foal heat. (breeding fee not included in the price). Price $5,000

 

Piper is a very good mother and is easy to breed.  She produces sweet foals, who have very good conformation.  Before Piper became a broodmare she was started under saddle as a three year old.  Her quiet manner would make her a pleasant companion for an amature rider.  She walks, trots, canters, rides around trails and jumps over small fences.

 

Piper is part English Thoroughbred, and was imported in 2006 from Germany. She was inspected and approved with the American Trakehner Association in 2008 and is registered as a Trakehner in the “Official Appendix Book of the ATA”.

 

Piper’s dam “Paquita II” is a pure bred Trakehner registered with the German Trakehner Verband.

 

Piper’s sire, Barnaul xx, is an English Thoroughbred who is approved with the Hosteiners and allowed to breed to Trakehners.  He was born in Russia and stood for many years as a breeding stallion in Germany.  After his racing career, he bacame a competitive show jumper (up to class “M”).  Next to his success as a show horse, he sired 7 approved sons and numerous premium mares.  Barnaul was known to produce good top lines, with nice shoulder angles and harmonic withers.   This good conformation proved itself especially helpful for Barnaul’s offspring in the jumper ring.  Many rode and won international jumping shows up to the grand prix level.
